Zoe-perry

Perry is the daughter of actors Laurie Metcalf, and Jeff Perry. The role of Jackie Harris was played by her mother in both her two appearances on Roseanne. She did not pursue acting as a career until she reached the age of adulthood due to her parents being worried about the detrimental effects that stress could cause. Perry says she didn't want to become an actor during high school, but she decided to begin acting as a social activity while at Northwestern University when she switched to it from Boston University. Perry, after graduating from Boston University moved to New York in search of TV roles. Her small part was in shows like Law & Order: Criminal Intent. But, her home-sickness led her to California in search of theater jobs. Perry was a part of Broadway with her mother in The Other Place with her mother in 2013. The father of her Kevin McKidd performed in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer prize-winning film Anna Christie together with her in 2015. Perry was in nine episodes of the ABC drama The Family in 2016. In 2017, Perry starred in the role of a political thriller Scandal with her father. In addition, she played in the role of a older Mary Cooper in Young Sheldon - a CBS spin-off of The Big Bang Theory. She was cast in the role in spite of her strong family connection to the character.
